Our testing has shown that the latest build of Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac supports Lion but does not take special advantage of new Lion features.

Parallels Desktop 6 has been updated to run on Lion – just be sure you have installed the latest update.
Older versions Parallels Desktop (versions 4 and 5) do not support Lion so we recommend that customers upgrade to version 6 if they plan to run Lion.
Also, remember to uninstall Kaspersky Anti-virus from your Mac before you upgrade to Lion. For information on how to do this, contact Kaspersky or see this article.

You can activate Parallels Desktop 6 during installation. If you choose to activate after installation, go to the Parallels Desktop menu and select "Activate Product".
Enter your name, and information and activation key for Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac in the activation form and press 'OK'.
If the Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac Upgrade installation does not automatically detect the previous version key, enter your activation key for your previous version of Parallels Desktop (either version 4.0 or 5) in the pop-up window and press 'OK'.

Option A: Register via the Parallels web site.
Please login to your account at www.parallels.com ("My account" in the upper-right corner). You will first go to "My registered products" and then "Register your activation key."
Option B: Register from within your Parallels application.
After product installation, Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac will ask you to register your key. Please enter your activation key and the email address that you used for your account creation at Parallels.com.
If you do not have an account at Parallels.com, it will be created automatically after this step, and you will receive a notification for account activation. If you skip this step, you can register at any time by clicking on Parallels Desktop and selecting "Register Product".
Yes, you can. Simply purchase the upgrade to Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac in the language of your choice, install it using the version 6 Upgrade key, and activate using both your version 6 key and your previous key for Parallels Desktop 4.0 or 5.
Example: You have Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac in English, but would like to upgrade to version 6 in German:

Download the installation package for German Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac from the link that is sent to you in the confirmation email.
Install Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac in German and activate using your new upgrade key and your previous version 5 key.

A full refund will not be given if any of the aforementioned materials are not returned to Parallels, Inc. Return requests missing any of the aforementioned materials will be destroyed. Partial refunds will not be given.

If you already have Parallels Internet Security installed, you have several options.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide partial refunds. We recommend that you use your current subscription until it ends, then switch to Kaspersky.
If you are upgrading from Parallels Desktop 4 or 5 all that you need is to purchase an upgrade license, then download the Parallels Desktop 6 installation package here and start the installation; previous version will be deleted automatically. After installation is complete, you can start your virtual machines and they will be automatically upgraded to run under Parallels Desktop 6.
