Joe Weinman’s background spans R&D, operations and engineering, sales and marketing, product management, and corporate strategy. A former executive at Bell Labs, he has been awarded 21 U.S. and international patents. He led emerging technologies and services strategy for AT&T Business and AT&T corporate. At HP, he had P&L responsibility for a multi-hundred million dollar software business, and most recently, he was senior VP for cloud services and strategy at a leading data center, cloud enablement, and interconnection firm. As the author of Cloudonomics: The Business Value of Cloud Computing, he focused on cost, performance, and user experience optimization via the cloud. In his forthcoming book, Digital Disciplines (Wiley CIO, 2015), he focuses on digital strategies, and suggests that not only does IT matter, it can be a key enabler of corporate strategy and today, even corporate survival. Weinman received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from Cornell University and UW-Madison, respectively, and has completed executive education at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Birger Steen has been chief executive officer of Parallels since 2010. Birger started his professional career in 1992 as an oil trader at Norwegian Oil Trading, where he opened the company’s first office in the former Soviet Union. He joined McKinsey & Company in Norway in 1993. In 1996, he left McKinsey to join his favorite client Schibsted ASA, a European media group, as Vice President of Business Development. In March 2000, he was named CEO of Scandinavia Online AB, the leading Nordic Internet portal, which was listed on the Stockholm and Oslo stock exchanges later that year. After selling the company in 2002, Birger joined Microsoft, where he held positions as Country Manager for Norway and later Russia before moving to Microsoft headquarters where he served as VP, WW SMB and Distribution. Birger holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Industrial Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim. He also holds a degree in Russian Language from the Defense School of Intelligence and Security in Oslo and received his MBA from INSEAD in France.
Mr. Beloussov is a founder of Parallels and was formerly its CEO. He is a successful self-made serial entrepreneur and business executive with an outstanding 15+ year track record in building, growing, and leading high-performing, multi-national, high-tech companies in North America, Europe, and Asia. Under Mr. Beloussov's leadership, Parallels quickly grew to profitability and top market positions in its desktop virtualization, OS containers, and control panel offerings. Mr. Beloussov holds a B.S. in Physics, an M.S. in Physics and Electrical Engineering with High Honors, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

Located in Seattle's thriving downtown corridor, Sheraton Seattle Hotel is steps away from exciting nightlife, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Pike Place Market, the Seattle Waterfront, Seattle Center, Space Needle, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Aquarium and the Washington State Ferries are all within walking distance from the hotel. Sheraton Seattle Hotel puts you in the heart of the Emerald City.
Hotel reservations at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel can only be booked as part of the registration process. Please note that two (2) nights’ room and tax is included as part of the registration fee. However, if you choose to book your reservation at another hotel, the registration fee will remain the same. Additional nights may be booked at the group room rate of $199.00 per night, plus applicable taxes currently 15.6% and $2.00 per night for TIA (tourism improvement area). Standard in-room internet access is included in the group room rate. The cut-off date for hotel reservations is Friday, April 17, 2015. After this date, we will do our best to secure a hotel reservation for you at the group rate, but cannot guarantee it.
