Free Promotion Produces More Than 8,000 SiteBuilder for Windows Downloads in Only 90 Days
Herndon, VA — December 8, 2005 – SWsoft, a recognized leader in server automation and virtualization software, today announced the availability of SiteBuilder 2.0 for Windows, an upgraded release of the next generation, browser-based application designed to quickly and easily create and edit websites. The new version 2.0 adds ecommerce and blog capabilities, plan and site management, several new modules and reseller support for the fastest-growing hosting platform. First announced in September 2005, the SiteBuilder for Windows promotion will last through September 30, 2006.
“With more than 8,000 downloads of a server product in three months, SiteBuilder for Windows is proving to be a very popular application among service providers looking to offer leading ease of use and value to their resellers and customers,” said Kurt Daniel, director of marketing and alliances, SWsoft. “We are working closely with Microsoft and service providers to continue to offer additional SiteBuilder for Windows capabilities while maintaining its clear advantages in ease of use and value.”
“SWsoft SiteBuilder for Windows delivers the upgraded features and capabilities that will attract and retain the type of customers that will rapidly expand our hosting business,” said Heiko Heerwagen, managing director, Internet24 (www.internet24.de). “SWsoft has gone to extensive lengths to develop a truly easy to use solution that in five steps can create, edit and publish a simple or advanced website for our customers.”
New SiteBuilder 2.0 for Windows capabilities include:
E-shop Capabilities – A shopping cart feature adds e-shop capabilities to the software. End-users can now manage individual products and track orders. Additionally, the e-shop can be adjusted and the design of the e-shop can be customized.
Blogs – Administrators can now provide end-users with the ability to create Blogs (personal web-based journals). Blogs give end-users and their customers/visitors the opportunity to personalize content and create a dynamic interactive environment. Blogs can also be managed using third-party applications.
New Modules – End users can now easily incorporate highly capable forums, guestbooks, counters, a new form builder, photo albums, flash intros and search engine submission to flexibly offer a richer web experience.
Site Management – Powerful management of sites that have been created within the application. Each site has a unique set of rights and parameters created in the management module of the application. Administrators can also create trial sites. This functionality gives administrators the opportunity to install different site management levels.
Plan Management – Administrators now have the ability to manage plans within the application. Hosting providers can set up different plans depending on the service level required by a specific set of customers. The plan management function includes: templates, web site components, hosts and additional parameters.
Reseller Support – Management of resellers that are authorized to offer SiteBuilder for Windows as part of their value-added services. This functionality helps Hosting Providers manage resellers more efficiently, increase distribution channels and increase revenue streams.
