Distinguished industry veteran and former Vice President for Business Strategy in Microsoft International joins Parallels to help accelerate growth of its Cloud Service Provider business
RENTON, WA – May 7, 2013 – Parallels, the hosting and cloud services enablement leader, today announced Mauro Meanti will join Parallels to lead the global Service Provider Sales and Marketing organization as General Manager and Sr. Vice President reporting to CEO, Birger Steen. The cloud services market for SMBs is estimated to grow to $95.7 billion USD by 2015, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28% over the next three years according to the Parallels 2013 Global SMB Cloud Insights™ Report.

Meanti started his career as a software programmer in Olivetti in 1985 and joined Microsoft in 1990. During his tenure at Microsoft, he was Country Manager of Italy, Server Business Group Lead for EMEA and Chief Operations Officer in Russia. He was recently Vice President for Business Strategy in Microsoft International.
